MUDHONEY (Sub Pop / Seattle - Etats-Unis) Live

Between 1998 and the Nirvana breakthrough, Mudhoney was the main act of the alternative scene.

Their first recordings for the Sub Pop label reached a certain success and contributed to the distinction of the « sound of Seattle » and grunge. They signed on the major label Reprise records and probably thought they could keep their own sound. Being real activists and defenders of a certain idea of rock n'roll, the band is probably way too radical for the industry.

Mudhoney mixes garage rock, blues, punk and hardcore and does not pretend to belong to the grunge movement of that time. It is a great honor for Nuits Sonores to bring them to Lyon.

NoN ! (Mono Tone Records/ Nice – France) Live

With one singer, a guitarist and a drum machine, NoN ! Combines the agression of punk and sensuality of rock n'roll. Their political lyrics, feminists and – actually not – nihilist are hymns to laziness, hedonism, artificial paradise and true values.
